MVLA worked closely with the design team and engineers to navigate the complexities of site development to create a place that welcomes concerts, rotating art installations, markets, and other year-round civic engagements. A glass canopy provides luminous shelter over an open dining area and observation deck, encouraging visitors to linger. Benches and plantings animate the contemporary plaza with color and custom detailing. The broad steps on N. Lynn Street navigate the site’s steep grades and identify the place off the street. Rosslyn Central Place Plaza is a social center for the neighborhood and broader community.
