Master Plan for the Sanctuary of Petra Archaeological Park    Jordan

Located in southern Jordan, Petra is famous as the Rose Pink City of Stone. Visitation has surged in recent years, causing significant damage to the site. MVLA provided lead design for a multidisciplinary team developing master plans and detailed site designs for Petra, the Citadel of Amman, and the Museum of Mataba. MVLA's work focused on balancing the enrichment of the visitation experience with the protection of the delicate resources of the sites for future generations. Petra is a World Cultural Heritage Site.
