The Johns Hopkins University, Open Space Master Plan Implementation Baltimore, Maryland
MVLA collaborated on the development of a Campus Master Plan for the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University with Ayers Saint Gross Architects and was the lead designer of a comprehensive team that transformed the 25-acre campus core in less than 9 months. The primary effort required reinterpreting the place, and envisioning what might have been if the campus grounds had been designed and built at the same time as the buildings. The landscape improvements and selection of materials are compatible with the character of the buildings, resulting in a seamless coherence that make it appear as if the architecture and landscape were completed as one thought.
